Optiunik FBT (Fused Biconical Tapered) coupler for signal tapping, monitoring, combining, and any application that requires a non-standard split ratio at low port counts (1×2 or 2×2). Production uses precision fiber-pulling stations with active feedback on coupling ratio — yielding tight tolerances (typically ± 5% of the target ratio) and excellent thermal stability.
Split ratios available include 50/50, 60/40, 70/30, 80/20, 90/10, 95/5, 97/3, 99/1, and any custom ratio specified to 1% resolution. Operating wavelengths are 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm, 1310/1550 nm dual-window, or 1490/1550 nm. Excess loss < 0.1 dB; directivity > 55 dB; PDL < 0.1 dB; return loss > 55 dB; operating temperature -40 to +85 °C. Power handling rated to 500 mW; custom high-power versions to 5 W available.
Connectors include SC/UPC, SC/APC, LC/UPC, LC/APC, and FC/PC; pigtail length 1 m standard, customizable; packaging in bare-fiber blockless or mini steel tube. Each coupler is GR-1209 / GR-1221 tested and ships with an individual data sheet that includes the as-built split ratio, IL per port, directivity, and PDL.
