ABS-housed DWDM mux/demux module — a compact, low-cost alternative to 1U rackmount when 4 to 16 channels are sufficient. The ABS plastic case (typically 100 × 80 × 12 mm) protects the dense-WDM optics, with fiber pigtails (LC/UPC or SC/UPC) exiting one side through a strain-relief sleeve.
Channel counts available are 4, 8, and 16 on the ITU G.694.1 C-band grid at 100 GHz or 200 GHz spacing. Typical insertion loss is < 2.5 dB for 4-channel, < 3.5 dB for 8-channel, and < 5.0 dB for 16-channel. Channel passband ≥ 0.5 dB at ± 0.1 nm; adjacent isolation > 25 dB; return loss > 45 dB; PDL < 0.3 dB; operating temperature -40 to +85 °C.
Pigtail lengths default to 1 m and are customizable; connectors include LC/UPC, LC/APC, SC/UPC, SC/APC, FC/UPC. Optional 1310 nm / 1490 nm expansion ports can be added for combining DWDM with single-window legacy signals. Each module ships with a per-channel test report and a wavelength-to-port mapping label.
