PLC Splitter

PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitters are the standard splitting device for PON and FTTH access networks. Their semiconductor-process-based chip design delivers tight insertion-loss control, near-equal split uniformity across all output ports, and stable performance across the operating temperature window — properties FBT couplers struggle to match at high split counts. Optiunik manufactures PLC splitters in every common ratio from 1×2 to 1×64 and 2×2 to 2×64, packaged as bare-fiber blockless, ABS box, LGX cassette, mini steel tube, and rackmount tray formats. Standard insertion loss is < 3.6 dB for a 1×2 and < 18 dB for a 1×64, with PDL < 0.3 dB and operating wavelength 1260–1650 nm covering O-, E-, S-, C-, and L-bands. Every unit is GR-1209 and GR-1221 tested before shipping.
