
CCWDM
CCWDM (Compact CWDM) replaces the cascaded thin-film-filter chain of a conventional CWDM with free-space optical alignment inside a sealed sub-1-inch block. The result is dramatically lower insertion loss (typically 1.5 dB lower than equivalent fiber-cascaded designs), reduced footprint, and improved long-term stability — at a small cost premium. Optiunik manufactures CCWDM modules in 4-, 8-, 12-, 16-, and 18-channel configurations across the CWDM ITU grid, with pigtailed LC/SC connectors or boot-out fiber ends. Typical IL < 2.5 dB for 8-ch, channel isolation > 30 dB adjacent and > 40 dB non-adjacent, return loss > 45 dB, and PDL < 0.2 dB across the 1260–1620 nm range.
