Polarization-maintaining (PM) PLC splitter for coherent transceiver factory test, quantum-key distribution, and high-end fiber-sensor applications where the polarization state of light must be preserved through the splitting operation. Built on stress-rod Panda fiber with the slow axis aligned through every splice point, this splitter maintains a polarization extinction ratio (PER) greater than 20 dB end-to-end.
Standard split ratios include 1×2, 1×4, 1×8, and 2×8; insertion loss < 4.0 dB for 1×2, < 7.5 dB for 1×4, < 11.5 dB for 1×8; PDL < 0.3 dB; operating wavelength 1310 nm or 1550 nm (specify); operating temperature -40 to +85 °C. Each unit ships with a PM extinction-ratio test report and an axis-orientation map.
Applications include coherent 100G / 400G optical transceiver burn-in stations, distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) systems, fiber gyroscopes (FOG / IFOG), and quantum-communication research links. Custom split ratios, packaging (bare-fiber blockless, ABS box, mini steel tube), connectorization (FC/PC, FC/APC for PM), and pigtail lengths are available on request. Sample quantities ship within 5 business days; bulk orders ship within 2 weeks at our standard MOQ.
