
Polarization Maintaining
Polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber devices preserve the linear polarization state of light through the optical path — a requirement for coherent transceivers, fiber-optic gyroscopes, quantum-key-distribution links, and high-end interferometric sensors. The device construction (Panda or Bow-Tie stress-rod fibers, with the slow axis aligned through every splice) maintains a polarization extinction ratio > 20 dB end-to-end. Optiunik supplies PM PLC splitters in 1×2, 1×4, 1×8, and 2×8 ratios; PM dense-WDM filter couplers for 1310 / 1550 nm coherent links; and PM in-line optical isolators with > 30 dB isolation for protecting laser sources from back-reflection. Operating wavelengths cover 980 / 1064 / 1310 / 1480 / 1550 nm. Every unit is shipped with a PM extinction-ratio measurement and an axis-orientation map.
